Cristiano Ronaldo spent 40 minutes saying goodbye to his Juventus teammates on Friday morning as he looks to leave the club in the coming days.

Ronaldo looks set to join Manchester City after he told the Old Lady he wanted to leave Turin this summer.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner arrived at Juventus' training base in Continassa at 8:20am (BST) on Friday morning.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Ronaldo stayed for around 40 minutes, and 'he wants to leave the club in the coming hours'.

Ronaldo will not train on Friday, and he left Continassa as his Juventus teammates began training for the day.

Pep Guardiola's side have been in search of a new striker since Sergio Aguero left the Citizens earlier this summer.

Guardiola had spent most of the summer in pursuit of Tottenham Hotspurs' talisman Harry Kane.

However, Kane announced his intention to stay at Spurs in a tweet: "It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I've had in the last few weeks.

"I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success."

City have turned their attention to Ronaldo after the player 'engineered' a move to the blue half of Manchester.

The 36-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Juventus, who he joined in 2019.

Romano is also reporting that there is a verbal agreement between Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo's agent, and City.

However, City are yet to place an official bid for the striker.
