Shakira has admitted there are details "too private to share" relating to her split from Gerard Pique.
The Colombian popstar and Barcelona defender announced in a joint-statement back in June that they were separating after 11 years together following allegations Pique had cheated. Fans soon began to speculate on social media that he had cheated with the mother of his Barcelona team-mate Gavi, although those rumours were quickly disproven.
Three months on from the news of their split, Shakira has now opened up about the end of their relationship in an interview with Elle Magazine, where she claims their relationship was also "cheapened by the media".

“Sometimes I just feel like this is all a bad dream and that I’m going to wake up at some point," explained the three-time Grammy Award winner.
"But no, it’s real. And what’s also real is the disappointment to see something as sacred and as special as I thought was the relationship I had with my kids’ father and see that turned into something vulgarised and cheapened by the media.
“I think that those details are somehow too private to share, at least at this very moment – everything is so raw and new. I can only say that I put everything I had into this relationship and my family.”
Pique and Shakira are understood to have met on the set of her Waka Waka music video ahead of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, before they began dating the following year. Despite never marrying, they spent 11 years together, during which time they had two children.
Since their split, Pique has reportedly started a new relationship and was spotted with his student girlfriend last month, leaving Shakira "angry" according to reports.
It has been a difficult start to the new season for the 35-year-old defender, though, as he has started just one match for Barca so far this term.
He has made just two appearances across all competitions and was again an unused substitute for Saturday's home win over Elche.
Now 35, Pique will not be present at the World Cup in Qatar later this year, having retired from international football following Spain's exit from the previous tournament four years ago.
