Steven Gerrard is targeting a third Rangers player to bring to Aston Villa when the January transfer window opens in just under six weeks time.
The new Villa boss took charge of his first game with his new club on Saturday as they beat Brighton 2-0 to end a run of five straight league defeats.
Goals from Ollie Watkins and Tyrone Mings sealed a late victory and lifted Villa up to 15th in the Premier League table.
However, Gerrard is still reportedly keen to add to his squad and is said to be targeting a move for Rangers left-back Borna Barisic.
The Daily Record report that Villa are planning to make an £8million move for the Croatia international when the transfer window re-opens in January.
This comes after Villa were previously linked with another two Rangers players in the form of midfielders Ryan Kent and Glen Kamara.
Barisic has been linked with a move away from Ibrox in the past, with Roma and Tottenham Hotspur both reported to be interested in a move back in 2020.
He joined the Scottish champions in 2018, arriving from Osijek for a fee worth £2.2million and was a key member of the side that won the league unbeaten last season.

Barisic made 30 league appearances and provided seven assists as well as scoring one goal.
So far this season he has made 14 appearances across all competitions with Rangers currently top of the Scottish Premiership and four points clear of Old Firm rivals Celtic.
Gerrard's current options at left-back are Matt Targett and Ashley Young, with both players featuring in Saturday's win.
Targett played the full 90 minutes at left-back, while Young replaced Emiliano Buendia in the 74th minute before assisting Watkins for the opener.
Gerrard will hope to continue his winning start to his Premier League managerial career when Villa travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
