Donny van de Beek has picked his Manchester United five-a-side team – and there's no place for Paul Pogba, Cristiano Ronaldo or Jadon Sancho.
Van de Beek gave what some fans might think is an unusual selection when asked to select his team by Red Devils legend Rio Ferdinand.
The 24-year-old didn't pick a striker in his team – despite the Premier League giants having a stacked attacking roster featuring the likes of Ronaldo, Sancho, Edinson Cavani, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.
And he also snubbed his midfield colleague Pogba, who has largely kept Van de Beek out of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side since the Dutch international's arrival from Ajax last summer.
Van de Beek was talking to Ferdinand on the former United defender's Vibe with FIVE YouTube channel when he was asked to pick his 5-a-side team from the current squad.
“That’s a good question," he replied. "I think I would pick Raphael (Varane). I am a big fan of Juan (Mata) as well.
“You have to pick Bruno (Fernandes), because he scores a lot of goals and a lot of assists. I would go for Luke Shaw, and Nemanja Matic as well."
Pressed on his surprising selection, Van de Beek laughed: “I think this team would win. We have so many players, I have to make a tactical decision – the best players don’t always win, the team wins.”

Eagle-eyed readers will also spot that Van de Beek didn't pick a keeper – although it appeared Ferdinand's question might have been lost in translation a little.
Van de Beek was also asked about recent transfer talks with Everton, which were halted when United blocked a move on the eve of transfer deadline day.
Asked whether a switch to Goodison had been close, he replied: "No, I spoke with the manager and the club, and they said they wanted me to stay here.

"The manager was really positive about me, and he said ‘I need you, and I want to keep you here’."
Asked whether Solskjaer had promised him more game time, Van de Beek said: “You can never promise that, that’s just football. You can never promise a player and tell him if he can play or not, and I agree with that.
“I have asked to play more. You can train hard every day, but in the end, you need game time. If you only play once a month, you cannot show your best form – playing is really important."
