Man Utd: Solskjaer reveals clean bill of health
Manchester United have won three of their four FA Cup meetings with Watford. This will be their first encounter since the Red Devils’ 4-1 semi-final victory in 2007. United have only failed to progress to FA Cup fourth round twice in the last 35 years.
What has been said?
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Odion Ighalo: “It’s special for him against Watford.
“He will be involved. He’s in the squad, he’s been training really well.
“It’s been difficult for him to be out of the squad as many times (as he has), of course, because he did really well up until the summer.
“This season he’s not had as many opportunities but he’s never let himself down as a professional and a human being.
“Hopefully I don’t need to put him on, that we need goals, but hopefully he can join in.”
Watford manager Xisco Munoz: “The most important thing is we go there and fight like animals and enjoy the situation.
“I know it will be difficult, because Manchester United is a perfect team, but we need to give our best and try very hard, because the most important thing is that our fans enjoy watching our team.
“We go there with maximum ambition, we will work very hard and it is important to see we are growing game by game. This is our objective and it’s important we continue with the same attitude, work and spirit.
“Everyone knows it’s a special competition, I’m very happy to be here and try to get us one step further because it’s very important.
“We know it’s difficult, but we will give our maximum in the next game and we will try to get to the next step of the competition.”
