Paris Saint-Germain could end Alexis Sanchez’s Old Trafford nightmare by making a move next summer.
The Chilean, 29, hasn’t even been at Manchester United for a year but has emerged as a target after falling out of favour in recent weeks.
Sanchez was an unused substitute in the weekend 2-1 win over Everton , having only come off the bench for the final moments of the draw with Chelsea last week.
His long-term future appears bleak and the Sun reports United are looking at ways to offload him at the end of the season.
Sanchez is comfortably the biggest earner in the United squad, pocketing around £500,000-a-week with bonuses.
PSG, who had been keen on Sanchez before he left Arsenal for United, would be willing to take Sanchez off their hands.
But that is only if they can get the Chilean on the cheap – or even for nothing.
It is claimed United’s bosses have even talked about the idea of getting Sanchez off their books in a bid to free up wages.
French champions PSG could snap up the former Arsenal star with speculation over the futures of star duo Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Brazilian superstar Neymar is thought to be unhappy at the Parc des Princes due to the lack of competitiveness in Ligue 1.
Reports also suggest he believes he is being overshadowed by the new face of French football, Mbappe.
The World Cup winner has been in the headlines this week after he was dropped for the win over Marseille.
Mbappe and Adrien Rabiot were benched by boss Thomas Tuchel after turning up late for a pre-match briefing.
But Mbappe scored just three minutes after coming on in the 2-0 win as PSG made it 11 wins in a row at the start of the season.
