Zinedine Zidane is looking to sell five of his Real Madrid stars in order to lay the foundations for a bold spree of signings as Los Blancos look to ring the changes this summer.
According to AS, Zidane has been told in no uncertain terms that he must sell before he buys, meaning that the Frenchman will attempt to offload some of his outcasts in order to fund big money moves.
It spells what could be the end for Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Lucas Vasquez, who have teetered on the outskirts of the Los Blancos squad for large spells of this season.

The Welshman was close to joining Chinese outfit Jiangsu Suning on a free transfer last summer before Madrid dramatically pulled the plug on that deal, but he could finally make his Bernebeu exit this summer after a tumultuous couple of years in the Spanish capital.
Surprisingly, the Spanish report suggests that Zidane is prepared to offload Luka Modric in the next transfer window. The Croat has been an integral feature in the success of Madrid this past decade, but at 34 years old, Zidane may be looking to bring in fresh legs.

The Madrid boss has also reportedly identified Wolves striker Raul Jimenez as an ideal option to ease the attacking burden on frontman Karim Benzema. However, the Mexican has clarified that he is happy to stay in the west midlands.
