Bryan Battle let out a scream of emotion after beating Gabriel Green with a stunning 14-second knockout to stun UFC commentators.
The welterweights, who met at a catchweight of 173lbs, faced off in only the second fight of the night at UFC Charlotte headlined by Jairzinho Rozenstruik against Jailton Almeida.
Battle (now 9-2) came in as the underdog but got the better of the frantic opening stages to knockdown Green (now 11-5) before finishing him on the ground.

With lead commentator Jon Anik, as well as former UFC champions Daniel Cormier and Dominick Cruz in the booth – they all let out huge shouts at the early finish.
As he moved back to the centre of the Oktagon after his celebrations, Battle cried when his arm was lifted before the emotional turned to delight.
Speaking to former light-heavyweight and heavyweight king Cormier the 28-year-old, nicknamed The Butcher, detailed the unexpected ending.

"I was made in Charlotte. I was never going to lose in Charlotte,” Battle said.
"I put these hands on anybody, they might go to sleep.
"Here’s the thing, he normally doesn’t come out that aggressive so it caught me off guard. Kept my stance, kept my posture and just firing. That’s a tough dude right there."
With social media loving the blockbuster early finish, welterweight Michael Chiesa accused Green of disrespecting the power of his rival on ESPN.
Laura Sanko added: "Maybe he was thinking about his durable chin, thinking that he wouldn't get knocked out."
Earlier on the card, Tainara Lisboa submitted Jessica-Rose Clark, who has previously been compared to boxer Ebanie Bridges.
