A Manchester United superfan got a tattoo on her finger so she could shush ignorant blokes who claim women don’t know about football.

Christina Henriette Longva Andreassen has the club initials inked to her finger and the team’s iconic number 7 shirt on her arm.

She has supported the Red Devils all her life and has been slandered by men for it – just for being a female fan.

But the passionate supporter showed her immense dedication to the club with her tattoos.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, she said: “The first one is MUFC on my finger and I wish I had a great story around it but the truth is I woke up probably still drunk on holiday in Bulgaria.

“Nobody else was up and this was our travelling back day and instead of sitting around I took a stroll, found a tattoo shop and asked for the MUFC on my finger.

“I must admit it’s the worst tattoo I’ve taken. The sensation of tattooing a finger is unmatched. I felt it in every inch of my body.

“The reason I took it on my finger is to shush everyone either saying women don’t know football or rival supporters spewing mumbo jumbo.”

Christina, 34, lives in Oslo and has lost count on the number of flights she’s taken to cheer on her beloved reds.

Her love of football was inspired by her grandmother who was a Tottenham Hotspur fan, while her own mum followed United.

And despite spending fortunes dedicating her free time to the club, some men still ask her to justify her commitment.

She said: “I think every female watching a male dominated sport feels like they are under constant scrutiny. They are always having to prove they’re just as much a fan or have the same amount of knowledge about the sport and their team.

“I’m by no means saying every male supporter is like this, most are more than respectful and are very interested in our opinions.

“Also, I’ve noticed people are much nicer in person than on social media. I’ve gotten texts to say I am a plastic fan with a plastic face and to get back to the kitchen but I have never experienced that face to face.

“It’s very upsetting and unfair and it is infuriating when people are disrespectful and ignorant. It made me work harder on my match day texts though so I’ve tried to channel it for something positive.”

But when she is cheering on her team in pubs or in Old Trafford, Christina receives love from her fellow sports fans.

She added: “People who know me were not surprised by the tattoos in the slightest and my parents didn’t bat an eyelid.

“Meeting new people at the pub when watching United they think it’s really cool, and although they might not admit it, I think they find it extra cool because I’m a female.

“People love the finger tattoo and I’ve had a few girls borrowing my finger for pictures and I know a couple who have copied it.”

Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United team have had a shaky start to the season after a 2-0 defeat at Spurs last weekend.

And when asked how the players will do this season, Christina was reluctant to make bold predictions.

Laughing, she said: “This is a tough one, I mean I never predict scores or outcomes, I am so superstitious when it comes to Manchester United it is ridiculous.

“I am not religious or spiritual but when it comes to my team I’m quite nutty. But I can say that I still have faith in my manager and our players but not so much in the board or owners.

“It’s still too early to deliver a verdict or to declare us a failure like half the internet has.

“Although I can agree that we need some reinforcement!”
