The Broncos might be short on wide receivers on their 53-man roster, but they’re adding at least a pair of veterans to the practice squad.

Denver on Wednesday morning agreed to sign wide receiver Phillip Dorsett to the 16-man squad, a source confirmed to The Post. There, he’ll join Lil’Jordan Humphrey, who spent the entire offseason with the Broncos and even practiced with the team Tuesday with the understanding that he’d be released and then re-signed to the practice squad the next day.

Dorsett, 30, is entering his eighth year in the NFL. In 2022, he caught 20 passes for 257 yards and a touchdown in Houston. Before playing for three teams in 2021 — including a stretch with Russell Wilson in Seattle — Dorsett was a regular rotation player in Indianapolis and then New England. He had a career high 528 receiving yards for the Colts in 2016 and a career-best five touchdowns in 2019 for the Patriots.

He spent the preseason with Las Vegas and caught eight passes for 103 yards for the Raiders before they released him Tuesday in the cutdown to 53 players.

Denver wrapped its own busy Tuesday with just three healthy receivers on its initial 53-man roster plus Jerry Jeudy, who is rehabilitating a hamstring injury. Lil’Jordan Humphrey is also expected to sign a practice squad deal Wednesday and Marquez Callaway could, too, if he clears waivers.

Elsewhere on the practice squad, the Broncos have already returned several players who spent part or all of the offseason on the roster, including quarterback Ben DiNucci, defensive tackles PJ Mustipher and Tyler Lancaster, outside linebacker Marcus Haynes, running back Tyler Badie and cornerback Art Green.
