Three Real Madrid players have been arrested after being accused of sharing a sex tape of an underage girl, according to reports in Spain.\u00a0Police confirmed on Thursday night that arrests had been made following a complaint from the mother of a girl under the age of 16.<\/p>\n

Spanish news outlet\u00a0El Confidencial says the Real Madrid players were held after the mother of the girl went to the police earlier this month. She reportedly alleged that one of the trio filmed a sex tape of the youngster and shared it with others.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Civil Guard on the island of Gran Canaria later confirmed: “A mother accompanied by her daughter under the age of 16 has reported to police in Santa Maria de Guia in Las Palmas province in Gran Canaria that there are supposedly some recordings of her daughter’s consensual sexual relations, which were recorded without her consent and which she now knows are being circulated.<\/p>\n

“The events that occurred in the town of Mogan date back to mid-June but she said she has now learned these images exist.\u00a0For this reason, Court 3 in San Bartolome de Tirajana has ordered the Civil Guard to make several people available to the court.”<\/p>\n

The police spokesperson went on to explain that none of the three players in question are currently in Real Madrid’s first-team squad. They have not been named and were released later on Thursday, pending further investigation, after being arrested earlier that morning.<\/p>\n

“Their mobiles have been seized and they have been freed for the time being,” added the spokesperson.<\/p>\n

“The arrests occurred this morning. One of the detainees is a Real Madrid Castilla player and the other two are Real Madrid C players. Another player from Real Madrid C is being investigated.”<\/p>\n

Real Madrid Castilla is the reserve team of Real Madrid and currently plays in Spain’s third tier. Real Madrid C, meanwhile, is another reserve side and was previously disbanded in 2015 before returning for the 2023\/24 season.<\/p>\n

The Spanish giants said in a statement: “Real Madrid announces that it has learned that a Castilla player and three Real Madrid C players have given a statement to the Civil Guard in relation to a complaint for the alleged dissemination of a private video on WhatsApp.<\/p>\n

“When the club has detailed knowledge of the facts, it will adopt the appropriate measures.”<\/p>\n
