in crazy change<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Conor McGregor embraces changes in weight as part of his career ambitions<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>He has won titles in two UFC weights and joked that he weighed 265lb<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Irishman suffered a horrible injury in 2021 but from there pushed himself<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Conor McGregor has had an iconic career in the\u00a0UFC\u00a0after\u00a0rising through the ranks to eventually become the first fighter ever in the promotion to be champion in two weight classes at the same time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He has clambered through the featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight divisions, undergoing a remarkable transformation in the process.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When he started out in UFC in 2013, he came in at 145lb in the featherweight division.<\/p>\n<p>It would take him two-and-a-half years to reach title level at that weight, eventually beating Jose Aldo via first round knockout in December 2015.<\/p>\n<p>But that wasn&#8217;t enough for McGregor, who had new horizons in his crosshairs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/15\/19\/51824697-12523491-Conor_McGregor_pictured_weighed_in_at_11st_1lb_before_his_fight_-a-30_1694801495293.jpg\" height=\"447\" width=\"306\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/15\/19\/75469495-12523491-Conor_McGregor_started_out_in_UFC_at_145lb_looking_different_to_-a-31_1694801495294.jpg\" height=\"447\" width=\"306\"><\/p>\n<p>Conor McGregor&#8217;s physique has gone through extreme change during his time in the UFC\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/15\/17\/56736657-12523491-Bulking_up_Conor_McGregor_33_took_to_Instagram_in_the_early_hour-a-13_1694796384130.jpg\" height=\"784\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Last year, McGregor his transformation over the years with his fans on Instagram\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Just eight months later, he crossed swords with Nate Diaz in the welterweight category at 170lb, beating the American by decision after five rounds in the Fight of the Night.<\/p>\n<p>By the end of 2016, he had already dropped down to try his hand against Eddie Alvarez at 155lb to claim the lightweight title in a glittering performance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Notorious&#8217; had made history, holding the featherweight and lightweight title at that same time with a victory in Nevada in the most-bought UFC pay-per-view event of all time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Yet that whirlwind year wasn&#8217;t the only time he showed remarkable fluctuation in weight.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In July 2021, McGregor suffered a broken leg in the first round of his shock defeat to Dustin Poirier, but from there managed to put on 34lb (two-and-a-half stone) of muscle in six months, which experts said was almost impossible for most people to achieve.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/15\/17\/75480035-12523491-He_claimed_his_first_title_in_December_2015_when_he_beat_Jose_Al-a-7_1694796087531.jpg\" height=\"425\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>He claimed his first title in December 2015 when he beat Jose Aldo at featherweight<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/15\/17\/75482665-12523491-image-a-14_1694796493550.jpg\" height=\"421\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>In August 2016, he added the welterweight crown to his collection by beating Nate Diaz<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/15\/17\/75469599-12523491-In_2022_McGregor_joked_that_he_weighed_a_whopping_265lb_which_wo-a-10_1694796087533.jpg\" height=\"464\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>In 2022,McGregor joked that he weighed a whopping 265lb, which would put him at the top end of the UFC heavyweight spectrum\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Irishman has not fought in UFC since then but UFC chief Dana White insists he is expected to return to the octagon &#8216;next year&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>McGregor was gunning to take on Michael Chandler in December this year but failed to meet the USADA drug testing deadline to stage the fight this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Photographs from this year show the incredible transformation he has undergone since starting out in UFC in 2013.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, for his rapid weight gain, he was able to put on weight with\u00a0plenty of hypertrophy training, free weights and six carefully-considered meals a day that are tailored to his body, McGregor&#8217;s personal trainer Alejandro Celdran told AS.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He has been known to practice boxing, jiu-jtsu, wrestling, taekwondo, karate, and capoeira, a Brazilian martial art disguised as dance to build a varied programme and skill set, improving different aspects of his physique.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Variety is the best way,&#8217; he said. &#8216;For me, regimen doesn\u2019t work.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Besides that, the Irishman tends to keep on the quiet side with regards to his training routine.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At one point last year, he even joked that he weight a whopping 265lb &#8211; which is supremely confident.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In recent times, McGregor has been in New York with Dillon Danis to prepare for friend for an evening against Logan Paul.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Their practice has even taken them to the famed, invite-only New York Athletic Club, which fields 22 teams for different sports.<\/p>\n<p>On the Danis-Paul fight, McGregor said: &#8216;Dillon will win for sure. They&#8217;re already backtracking right now. They woke an animal. [I&#8217;ve known] Dillon years and I&#8217;ve trained with him many times.
