Manchester United's superstar Marcus Rashford was involved in a terrifying car crash following Saturday evening's clash with Burnley at Turf Moor.

Rashford had returned to United's Carrington training ground with the team on a coach, before leaving in his £700k Rolls Royce. However, upon leaving the training ground, Rashford is believed to have collided with a traffic island.

Footage has emerged on social media of the car badly damaged, with a toppled traffic island just meters away. Police were quickly on the scene, but no ambulances were called and there were no arrests made.

Bruno Fernandes was also at the scene, and he had stopped to help his team-mate. A source has told The Sun Rashford is uninjured – but he is a little shaken from the incident.

Rashford was named among Erik ten Hag's starters on Saturday evening as they claimed a much needed three points against Burnley. However, the Englishman was still criticised by United fans.

Speaking ahead of the game, Rashford had said one result could turn United's season around: "One good result, one good performance, can be a game-changer at this club. It's a difficult position and I'm not as happy as I'd like to be, but there's only one way to get back this happiness is to seek results."

"We know the effect that a victory can have on the team and then it's up to the players to show consistency. That's what we lacked. Last year, we were very consistent at home, but very irregular away."
