Manchester United are reportedly set to make a third push to sign Juventus star Adrien Rabiot when the January transfer window opens. The Red Devils have approached the midfielder in the last two windows but ultimately turned their attention to alternative targets, but he remains in their considerations going forward.

United bolstered their midfield ranks over the summer with the additions of Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat, but their overhaul in that department is far from complete. With Scott McTominay still a regular feature in the side despite being ‘up for sale’ and youngster Hannibal Mejbri being relied upon, further new signings are anticipated.

Erik ten Hag’s side are currently ninth in the Premier League and have won three of their opening six matches of the campaign, tasting defeat on three occasions. The squad clearly possesses star players but the overall quality of the squad has left the team struggling on occasions.

As a result, Ten Hag is expected to dip into the January transfer market to bolster his ranks once more. According to Calcio Mercato, United are set to make their third attempt to lure Rabiot to Old Trafford in 2024 and are hopeful that the player will not extend his contract with Juventus in the next few months.
