Benjamin Sesko insists he made the \u2018better\u2019 decision to join RB Leipzig this summer despite interest from Manchester United.<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old was on United\u2019s shortlist as Erik ten Hag made the signing of a new striker one of his priorities in the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

However, United did not follow up on their interest and instead opted to sign Rasmus Hojlund in a \u00a372 million deal from Atalanta.<\/p>\n

Sesko, meanwhile, completed his \u20ac24 million (\u00a320.6m) move to RB Leipzig in the summer after the deal with Red Bull Salzburg was initially agreed last year.<\/p>\n

And the Slovenia international is adamant that he made the right choice to join the Bundesliga.<\/p>\n

When asked about United\u2019s interest, Sesko told Transfermarkt: \u2018The thing is, I wasn\u2019t really involved in these kinds of conversations.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u2018But I think it was better to come here.<\/p>\n

\u2018It was very important for me to go to a place that plays a similar style of football.<\/p>\n

\u2018I already knew what I had to do and didn\u2019t have to go through a whole learning process again.\u2019<\/p>\n

Sesko also believes RB Leipzig are capable of challenging Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title.<\/p>\n

\u2018Everything is on us. We have to perform. We have to show that we can win the games,\u2019 Sesko said.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s obviously a lot of games. We just have to be 100 per cent or even more every single game because the games are every third or fourth day.<\/p>\n

\u2018But as I said, we have a really good team, I think we have a big chance this year.\u2019<\/p>\n
