{"id":290491,"date":"2023-09-29T17:34:31","date_gmt":"2023-09-29T17:34:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportstoft.com\/?p=290491"},"modified":"2023-09-29T17:34:31","modified_gmt":"2023-09-29T17:34:31","slug":"real-madrid-fans-scammed-out-of-70000-over-fake-season-tickets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportstoft.com\/soccer\/real-madrid-fans-scammed-out-of-70000-over-fake-season-tickets\/","title":{"rendered":"Real Madrid fans &apos;scammed out of \u00a370,000&apos; over fake season tickets"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Real Madrid fans &#8216;scammed out of \u00a370,000&#8217; over fake season tickets at the Bernabeu, with alleged fraudster threatening to go &#8216;knife to knife&#8217; when one supporter contacted the club<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A group of 50 Real Madrid fans have reportedly been &#8216;scammed out of \u00a370,000&#8217;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>A man posing as the head of a supporters&#8217; club offered the fans season tickets<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>One retired couple &#8216;spent \u00a33,500&#8217; and were &#8216;threatened by the alleged fraudster&#8217;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A group of 50 Real Madrid fans have been &#8216;scammed out of \u00a370,000&#8242; by\u00a0 a man claiming to represent a supporters&#8217; club.<\/p>\n<p>Reports in Spanish outlet\u00a0Cadena SER claim a man describing himself as\u00a0director of the Orgullo Vikingo club in Barcelona\u00a0promised season tickets to the fans, which turned out to be fake.<\/p>\n<p>There is no record of such a group existing in Barcelona, although the name may have been lifted from a similar organisation in Lepe.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He is believed to have claimed that spaces had opened up at the Bernabeu due to deaths during the Covid-19\u00a0Pandemic, and gained the fans&#8217; trust by &#8216;interacting with club personnel.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One retired couple reportedly paid \u00a33,500 for season tickets that did not exist and were threatened after contacting the club, as they told Cadena SER: &#8216;There were two season tickets.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/29\/16\/75983269-12575967-image-a-9_1696003034166.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>A group of 50 Real Madrid fans have reportedly been scammed out of \u00a370,000<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/29\/16\/75983469-12575967-image-a-10_1696003053689.jpg\" height=\"438\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>They were &#8216;promised fake season tickets and threatened when they asked about their money&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He told us that since many people had died in the pandemic, there were many tickets. He threatened us. He told us that because we were older, that if we didn&#8217;t, he would beat us up.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Others were also threatened with violence after asking about their money, with one told they would go &#8216;knife to knife&#8217; among a string of insults that read: &#8216;You&#8217;re confused, but you&#8217;re a champion, you piece of f*****.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I will s*** on the remains of your relatives, my whole family has f***** them one by one. Son of a b****.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Another was warned that &#8216;Madrid is very small and one day we will meet.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>A criminal complaint over the incident has now been filed, which Real Madrid will join. The club told SER they have &#8216;no record&#8217; of the accused fraudster.<\/p>\n<p>Bella Canales, a lawyer working on the criminal complaint, told the Spanish outlet: &#8216;We hope [the alleged victims] can recover by filing a complaint against this person and his collaborators.
