Arsenal remain interested in a deal for Wolves winger Pedro Neto but any potential approach has been complicated by the Portuguese attacker’s sparkling form at Molineux. That’s because Wolves simply have no interest in losing their integral forward, who already looks crucial to their prospects this season under Gary O’Neil.

The Gunners have had Neto on their shortlist since the summer of 2022 and even tried to land the 23-year-old back in 2017 during his time at Braga when Arsene Wenger was still at the helm.

Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu are both in agreement that Neto has the quality to prove a hit at Arsenal but the tricky dribbler has so far proven to be out of the club’s reach.

Wolves wanted big money to sanction a transfer in the summer of 2022 while a fresh enquiry was also rebuffed as recently as this summer.

Neto is a self-confessed Arsenal supporter and would he likely to entertain any approach that arrived from the Gunners – although he is currently tied down to a long-term deal in the Black Country that is due to run until the summer of 2027.

He has given absolutely everything and showed a big moment of quality [at Luton] which sums up how he has been for me for the last six weeks.”

Source: Read Full Article

Arsenal remain interested in a deal for Wolves winger Pedro Neto but any potential approach has been complicated by the Portuguese attacker’s sparkling form at […]

[19
