I mean, honestly, it was an absolute freak.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Asked about the pictures showing Beckham&#8217;s injury, he added: &#8216;Yeah I&#8217;m not going to talk about that. The only thing I will say is that I think that was stage managed. It wasn&#8217;t even worth a stitch.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/04\/07\/76147203-12591969-image-a-11_1696402328556.jpg\" height=\"466\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed David Beckham&#8217;s eye injury from their infamous 2003 row was &#8216;stage-managed&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/04\/07\/76147215-12591969-image-a-19_1696402478167.jpg\" height=\"482\" width=\"306\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/04\/07\/76147229-12591969-image-m-18_1696402468757.jpg\" height=\"482\" width=\"306\"><\/p>\n<p>The legendary Scot said the injury &#8216;wasn&#8217;t worth a stitch&#8217; after he famously launched a boot at the ex-England captain (R)<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>Beckham remembers seeing his &#8216;fuming&#8217; boss in the dressing room and revealed he had swore at his boss to further enrage him on top of the result &#8211; leading to the boot being launched at him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We walked in the changing room and the boss is fuming. I can see it by his face,&#8217; the former Real Madrid and LA Galaxy man said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;And when you see the boss&#8217;s face like this, you don&#8217;t want to be anywhere near him. It is a face that no one can do, trust me.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>After claiming the coach was &#8216;effing and blinding&#8217;, he added: &#8216;I went back at the boss and said &#8220;no&#8221; and then I swore. I said the f- word. And then I saw him change, and I was like, &#8220;s***, I really shouldn&#8217;t have said that&#8221;. I think I said the f-word too many times.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/04\/07\/76147211-12591969-image-m-21_1696402559139.jpg\" height=\"419\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Beckham revealed he had earned the wrath of his boss after swearing at him after their FA Cup exit at the hands of Arsenal<\/p>\n<p>Beckham also spoke of his heartache at having to leave United for Real Madrid the following season &#8211; saying he pleaded to stay at Old Trafford.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He said he asked &#8216;Can I speak to the boss?&#8217; before being told, &#8216;No, he doesn\u2019t want to talk to you.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Beckham added: &#8216;And I said, &#8220;I need to speak to the boss, I need to know this is really what he wants&#8221; and I pleaded to not go. I couldn\u2019t get in contact with the boss. Did I ever want to leave Man United? No, never.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It was my home. My relationship with the boss was always special. We had our moments, but I still loved him.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Ferguson said their relationship &#8216;was at a stalemate&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/04\/08\/76103559-12591969-Celebrity_couple_David_and_Victoria_Beckham_announced_their_enga-a-24_1696402974521.jpg\" height=\"521\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The documentary also revealed that Beckham&#8217;s relationship with Victoria Beckham added further tension between the player and Ferguson\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;There was not going to be any point in me saying to David, &#8220;I\u2019m selling you&#8221;,&#8217; he added. The decision was made, it was better he went. He didn\u2019t need to go. He could have stayed if he wanted. I think he knew it was the right time.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>In the same documentary, it was also revealed that Beckham&#8217;s relationship with then-Spice Girls singer Victoria Beckham added tension to his relationship with Ferguson.<\/p>\n<p>Former team-mate Paul Scholes said: &#8216;His relationship with Victoria was p***ing the manager off. He thought it was affecting his football.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, fellow Red Devils icon Paul Ince revealed how Ferguson used to do background checks on his players&#8217; love lives, eager for them to be in &#8216;stable&#8217; relationships.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Sir Alex liked you to be stable. He looked at your background. Didn&#8217;t want you to be out partying every night,&#8217; Ince said.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about their relationship, Ferguson admitted: &#8216;[Beckham] changed, there&#8217;s no doubt about that &#8211;
