We want stability,&#8217; he told Sky Sports.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I think that&#8217;s the most important thing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We all have our favourites of who we feel needs to run the club and look after the club to take it back to where it belongs.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;In our eyes, in the fans eyes, we are number one. We want to be back at the top and I believe I know the right people to do that so we&#8217;ll see!&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>As reported by <span>Mail Sport <\/span>last week, Ratcliffe is considering ditching his bid to takeover Manchester United in favour of buying a minority stake \u2013 which would leave the Glazer family in control of the club.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a shock move that would no doubt trigger outrage among many of United\u2019s supporters, the petrochemicals billionaire is mulling over a change of tack in an attempt to break the deadlock in what has been a tedious process which is now approaching its tenth month.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for Ratcliffe declined to comment, but it is understood that one of the options being looked at is the purchase of around 25 per cent of United\u2019s shares.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/09\/15\/76339425-12610893-image-a-15_1696860522999.jpg\" height=\"416\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Anti-Glazers protests have been a feature at matches at Old Trafford for years now\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/09\/15\/76340013-12610893-image-a-17_1696860533839.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Sir Jim\u00a0Ratcliffe is considering ditching his bid to takeover Manchester United in favour of buying a minority stake, which would leave the Glazers in control\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/09\/15\/76340015-12610893-image-a-18_1696860537350.jpg\" height=\"437\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The Glazers put up the club for sale 11 months ago but a takeover doesn&#8217;t look close to completion after both bids were turned down\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That would likely bring in a figure close to \u00a31.5bn for the Glazers, who paid \u00a3800m for the club in 2005 before plunging that debt onto United\u2019s books.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Potential legal challenges had been raised as a prospect should that route be taken. Ratcliffe\u2019s main rival, Sheikh Jassim, submitted his final bid for total control of the club back in May.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span>Mail Sport<\/span> understands that the Qatari remains committed to a 100 per cent takeover.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>United have endured a difficult start to the season, suffering four defeats in eight Premier League games so far and losing both of their Champions League fans.<\/p>\n<p>Beckham, however,\u00a0urged his former club to remain patient with Erik ten Hag as things &#8216;haven&#8217;t been easy for him&#8217; with the uncertainty surrounding the club.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Let&#8217;s see. He&#8217;s a good coach,&#8217; Beckham said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It is a difficult time at the moment but there&#8217;s a lot of noise around the club at the moment. It can&#8217;t be easy for him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We all want that noise to go away.
