Trent Alexander-Arnold appeared to win the war of jest with England team-mate James Maddison after the midfielder’s playful dig while on international duty.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Tottenham\u00a0playmaker captioned an image of the defender: ‘Still asking for a replay’, poking fun at Liverpool’s misery after their opening goal was disallowed in\u00a0Tottenham’s recent win over the Reds\u00a0and their subsequent calls for the controversial game to be replayed.<\/p>\n
Alexander-Arnold, who was a second half substitute in the game as he made he return from injury, made sure to fire back when asked about the accuracy of the social media post.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘No, he was asking me to teach him how to put a free-kick in the top corner.’ He told Channel 4. ‘But, I told him, I’d just show him the video when I scored at Leicester last year and they got relegated.’<\/p>\n
