where he made 217 appearances between 1997 and 2003 &#8211; to court for \u00a310m in compensation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A date for the final attempt at a conciliation has reportedly been set for November 17, and if no agreement is met, the two-time World Cup winner will take them to court.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s claimed that the case dates back to 2019, when Cafu &#8211; one of the greatest right-backs of all time &#8211; agreed to take part in Roma&#8217;s testimonial as part of a new sponsorship with Qatar Airways.<\/p>\n<p>He went out to Warsaw where a safety video was filmed and quickly broadcast on television.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/13\/14\/76521439-12627765-image-a-38_1697202808297.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Brazil legend Cafu is reportedly set to sue Roma and Qatar Airways over an alleged violation of image rights<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/13\/14\/76521875-12627765-image-m-59_1697203526327.jpg\" height=\"508\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Cafu is one of the club&#8217;s greatest ever players and was part of their title-winning team in 2001<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/13\/14\/76521501-12627765-image-a-42_1697202913588.jpg\" height=\"428\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Qatar Airways were Roma&#8217;s shirt sponsors between 2018 and 2021 and Cafu is wanting around \u00a310m in damages after deciding to sue both companies (Chris Smalling pictured in 2020)<\/p>\n<p>Cafu is said to have asked his representatives, Vincenzo Aliotta, to find a payment agreement with Roma, which is said to have moved slowly and been delayed on multiple occasions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Then in 2020, the Italian side were sold by then owner James Palotta to the Friedkin family &#8211;
