The qualifying stages for Euro 2024 are drawing to a close, with most teams having just two games left to secure their place at next summer’s tournament.\u00a0<\/p>\n
England booked their place in Germany with a comprehensive 3-1 win over Italy thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford.<\/p>\n
But there is still a lot to play for in Group C as both Italy and Ukraine battle for second place and automatic qualifying.<\/p>\n
Spain, Scotland, France and Belgium are among the other nations who have already confirmed their place.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, Wales’ win over Croatia means they can still claim a place for 2024 while the Netherlands’ win over Greece put them in the drivers’ seat for second place in Group B.<\/p>\n

There is a play-off for those who fail to qualify through the group stage but those were decided by the most recent round of the Nations League.<\/p>\n
Mail Sport breaks down the qualifying scenarios for each group and the play-offs.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualification in Group A has been wrapped up, both Spain and Scotland secured their place at Euro 2024 in the most recent round of fixtures.<\/p>\n
Spain’s 1-0 win over Norway helped Steve Clarke’s side seal a place in the top two, with both sides winning five of their six games and losing once leaving top spot up for grabs, though Spain currently occupy that place.<\/p>\n

Scotland have qualified for their second consecutive Euro Championship<\/p>\n
Latest Results<\/span><\/p>\n Upcoming fixtures:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n World Cup runners up France secured their place for next summer’s tournament having won all six of their games so far. Scoring 13 goals and conceding just one in the process.<\/p>\n The Netherlands’ win over Greece has put them in the driving seat for second place as they drew level on points with their opponents with a game in hand.<\/p>\n Here are where things get far more complicated for the Republic of Ireland. They can no longer qualify automatically for Euro 2024 but could still make the play-offs.<\/p>\n Bizzarely they need to lose their next opponents\u00a0– the Netherlands – so that the Oranje qualify automatically, giving Stephen Kenny’s men a chance at making the play-offs through their Nations League position.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n France are yet to drop a point in qualifying<\/p>\n Latest results:<\/span><\/p>\n Upcoming fixtures:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Group C<\/span><\/p>\n England has qualified for Euro 2024 thanks to their win over Italy, as they remain undefeated in Group C.<\/span><\/p>\n Second place is still very much up for grabs in the group though with Italy and Ukraine set to go head-to-head on the final match day of qualifying.<\/span><\/p>\n Italy currently occupy third place but hold a game in hand over Ukraine and a win over North Macedonia would see them move into second place, meaning all they would have to do is not lose to their opponents on November 20th.<\/span><\/p>\n For Ukraine, if Italy do not beat North Macedonia then all they will need to do is avoid defeat against visitors Italy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Should Italy beat Ukraine and they end level on points, by way of two wins, Italy would hold the tie breaker of head-to-head record.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n England’s 3-1 win over Italy secured their place in Germany for Euro 2024<\/p>\n Latest results:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Upcoming fixtures:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Turkey has qualified for Euro 2024, they currently sit atop the group with five wins, one draw and a single loss.<\/p>\n But the battle for the second qualifying place is wide open in Group D thanks to Wales’ win over Croatia.<\/p>\n That means should Wales beat Armenia and Croatia lost to Latvia, Rob Page’s men will have their place in Germany booked.<\/p>\n Croatia need to win both of their last two games and hope Wales drop points if they are to make it via automatic qualification. Should they finish third they are already guaranteed to make the play-offs.<\/p>\n Armenia have an outside chance of qualifying but need to beat both Wales and Croatia to steal into second place.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Wales’ win over Croatia keeps their hopes of qualifying for Euro 2024 alive<\/p>\n \u00a0Latest results:<\/p>\n Upcoming fixtures:<\/p>\n It is all to play for in this group with only the Faroe Islands unable of finishing in the top two.<\/p>\n Albania will qualify should they avoid defeat against Moldova in their next match or if Poland beat Czech Republic.<\/p>\n If Czech Republic beat Poland and Moldova fail to win they will secure their place in Germany.<\/p>\n Should Poland lose or if Moldova were to beat Albania then they would be eliminated from contention.<\/p>\n Moldova still have an outside chance of finishing in the top two but would need to beat group leaders Albania and second-placed Czech Republic.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Poland’s disappointing 10 points from seven games has left them with an outside chance of qualifying<\/p>\n Latest results:<\/p>\n Upcoming fixtures:<\/p>\n Things are very straight forward for the teams in Group F with qualifying sewen up Belgium in first place and Austria in second.<\/p>\n Belgium are yet to lose in qualifying with five wins and a single draw, scoring 16 goals and conceding just three. While Austria’s only loss came against Belgium against whom they drew earlier in the qualification process.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Belgium’s five wins and a draw have seen them into the draw for Euro 202<\/p>\n Latest results:<\/p>\n Upcoming fixtures:<\/p>\n Hungary currently sit top of Group G and will qualify if they avoid defeat against Bulgaria or if Montenegro fail to beat Lithuania.<\/p>\n Serbia’s place will also be confirmed should Montenegro fail to win against Lithuania.<\/p>\n Montenegro need to win their last two games and hope Serbia fail to pick up a point from their remaining fixture in order to qualify for Euro 2024.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Hungary currently top Group G and and a point will be enough to see them into Euro 2024<\/p>\n Latest results:<\/p>\n Upcoming Fixtures:<\/p>\n Slovenia will qualify if they beat Denmark, or if Slovenia draw and Kazakhstan do not be San Marino – Should Kazakhstan lose then Slovenia will be through.<\/p>\n For Denmark they will need to win against Slovenia or see Kazakhstan fail to be San Marino.<\/p>\n Kazakhstan will be unable to finish in the top two if they lose to San Marino or if they draw and Slovenia win. But they will be guaranteed a place in the play-offs.<\/p>\n Finland cannot qualify for the tournament automatically but do have a place in the play-offs.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Slovenia can cement their impressive qualifying campaign with a place at Euro 2024 with a win over Denmark<\/p>\n Latest results:<\/p>\n Upcoming fixtures:<\/p>\n Romania top Group I and will qualify for the tournament in Germany if Israel lose to Switzerlan and Romania then beat Israel. Things are a bit more straight forward for Switzerland who just need to beat Israel and Kosovo two games to secure their place.<\/p>\n Israel can make it through but will need to beat the top two in Romania and Switzerland and have other results go their way. Namely Switzerland failing to beat Kosovo.<\/p>\n Should they lose to Switzerland or Romania they will be out of contention but confirmed for the play-offs.<\/p>\n Kosovo will be unable to make their way into the top two should Switzerland beat Israel.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Switzerland can secure a place in Germany with two wins from their final two games<\/p>\n Latest resuts:<\/p>\n Upcoming fixtures:<\/p>\n Portugal has booked their place on the plane for Germany in 2024 by dominating the group, picking up eight wins from eight and scoring 32 goals in the process.<\/p>\n Slovakia will fininsh second should they avoid defeat against Iceland.\u00a0<\/p>\n Third-placed Luxembourg will be eliminated from contention for the top two should unless they beat Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovakia lose.
