Bayern Munich V Manchester United: Pictures

Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United target Jamal Musiala has reportedly been pencilled in for contract talks with his current employers Bayern Munich. The midfielder has already played 133 times for Bayern, despite only turning 20 this year, and is said to be attracting interest from a whole host of clubs.

Musiala, who has won 25 caps for Germany and started all three of his country’s matches at last year’s World Cup, moved to England as a youngster and was part of the Chelsea academy for eight years between 2011 and 2019 following a six-month stint with Southampton.

But he opted to move back to his homeland to sign for Bayern and went on to become the youngest player to appear for the club in the Bundesliga when he made his debut as a 17-year-old in June 2020. He then became Bayern’s youngest ever goalscorer when he struck during an 8-0 thrashing of Schalke three months later, before Mathys Tel stole the record in 2022.

According to 90Min, Bayern intend to open talks with Musiala next year. The young star is currently contracted to the Allianz Stadium giants until 2026 after penning his current deal in 2021. And Munich are very confident that the midfield genius will commit his long-term future to the club.

If Musiala does opt to remain in Germany, he will have the perfect collateral to negotiate improved terms as a whole host of clubs are desperate for his signature.

Liverpool have been keeping close tabs on Musiala, while Manchester City are said to be huge fans. There is further interest from Arsenal, United and Chelsea, with the five Premier League clubs all asking to be informed of the player’s potential availability.

Meanwhile, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also keen to sign the Germany international after monitoring his progress over a number of years. So the player could have a big decision to make over his future when contract negotiations are eventually opened.
