A World Cup-winning cricketer has vowed never to \u2018buy cheap\u2019 again after suffering an unfortunate bikini malfunction.<\/p>\n
Alex Hartley was part of the England team that won the Women\u2019s Cricket World Cup in 2017, taking 10 wickets in the tournament, including two for 58 in the final against India at Lord\u2019s. The 30-year-old, who recently retired from playing, has moved into the media and coaching, recently landing a job in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with Multan Sultans. <\/p>\n
Hartley also has a strong social media following with almost 180,000 followers on X (formerly Twitter). Her latest post on the platform involved a faltering bikini while sunbathing next to a swimming pool in India, where she is working as a pundit at the current Cricket World Cup.<\/p>\n

Her bikini bottoms had left an imprint on her white towel with Hartley writing: \u201cA short story… Must not buy cheap bikini\u2019s [with bikini and facepalming emojis].\u201d<\/p>\n
In reply, one fan quipped: \u201cGood job it didn't dissolve.\u201d A second suggested: \u201cProbably don't buy from Bury Market in future. My mum used to buy my jeans from Bury Market and I always ended up with blue legs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following her media commitments in India, Hartley will travel to Pakistan, where she will make history as the first women\u2019s coach is PSL history along with former Ireland player Catherine Dalton. Hartley will be a spin bowling coach while Dalton will work with the fast bowlers.<\/p>\n
Addressing her retirement from playing, Hartley said: \u201cI have been thinking about it for ages and ages. I\u2019m going to really miss it, I\u2019m going to be really sad but it\u2019s so right. I\u2019ve loved it, I\u2019ve hated it but I am really proud of what I\u2019ve achieved.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s everything that I\u2019ve ever wanted to do. I\u2019m gutted I didn\u2019t play Test cricket but I\u2019m one of those where if you\u2019re not good enough then you\u2019re not good enough.\u201d<\/p>\n
