Former F1 team owner Eddie Jordan has revealed that Red Bull’s legendary designer Adrian Newey believes that it will be nearly impossible for their rivals to catch up with them before the end of the current regulation period in 2026.

The Milton Keynes-based team have been imperious in their form this season, taking 16 Grand Prix victories from a possible 17 thus far with the only outlier being Carlos Sainz’s triumph on the streets of Singapore. They have also dominated the sprint races with Oscar Piastri the only non-Red Bull driver to taste victory on that front.

This unwavering success means that with five races of the season to go, Red Bull have already wrapped up both the Drivers’ Championship and Constructor Championship titles, moving 331 points clear of nearest rivals Mercedes with Max Verstappen’s latest win in Qatar last time out.
