Simply cannot do that at Champions League level and expect to get away with it<\/p>\n<p><span>Jonny Evans &#8211; 6<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Northern Irishman was given the nod ahead of Raphael Varane for his first Champions League appearance since 2013 &#8211; only for it to end after just 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Crying shame and the stress on Erik ten Hag\u2019s face at another defensive injury suggested \u2018here we go again\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><span>Harry Maguire &#8211; 6.5<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Looked Manchester United\u2019s most accomplished defender before the post-red card collapse. Was furious about it but did give away the penalty which levelled things up.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/08\/22\/77579191-12727465-image-a-108_1699484039197.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Harry Maguire impressed defensively at times but gave away a first half penalty for handball\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span>Aaron Wan-Bissaka &#8211; 7<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Did brilliantly to feed McTominay in the build up to the opening goal and offered plenty down the right. His recovery pace is a massive asset to United &#8211; but his hazardous back-pass to Onana prior to Copenhagen\u2019s third goal showed some naivety.<\/p>\n<p><span>Christian Eriksen &#8211; 6.5<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Passenger for the most part and was hooked at half-time. Doesn\u2019t look totally comfortable in the No 6 role when partnering McTominay at the base of midfield.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/08\/22\/77579209-12727465-image-a-110_1699484064924.jpg\" height=\"455\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Christian Eriksen was largely a passenger for the first half before being subbed at half time<\/p>\n<p><span>Scott McTominay &#8211;<span>\u00a07<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A clever run to get the assist for Hojlund\u2019s first was a reminder of how effective he is further up the pitch. Faded massively thereafter.<\/p>\n<p><span>Bruno Fernandes &#8211; 8<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Always busy and it was an emphatic penalty to edge United ahead at 3-2. Will likely still draw criticism for his leadership skills as United fell apart at the \u2018Theatre of Nightmares\u2019, a stadium moniker anointed by the home fans.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/08\/22\/77579205-12727465-image-a-109_1699484047303.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Bruno Fernandes scored late to re-establish United&#8217;s lead but was eventually left picking up his team-mates after defeat<\/p>\n<p><span>Alejandro Garnacho &#8211; 7<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The young Argentine\u2019s first Champions League start and he was the driving force in Hojlund\u2019s second goal with a surging run forward. Ten Hag will demand more though, as he once again drifted in and out of this contest.<\/p>\n<p><span>Rasmus Hojlund &#8211; 7.5<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dream start back home in Copenhagen\u2026only for it to end on such a sour note. Won\u2019t score two easier goals this season and he\u2019s now United\u2019s top scorer. Needed to more in terms of game management given his wealth of experience.<\/p>\n<p><span>Sofyan Amrabat (for Christian Eriksen, 46) &#8211; 6<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Looked shaky in the early moments and hardly got a grip of the game.
