The Toffees have dropped into the relegation zone and further punishments are on the cards if the club are sued by three Championship clubs who were relegated from the highest division while they survived last season.<\/p>\n<p>The Premier League ruled that Everton had breached their profit and sustainability rules previously and decided to bring the hammer down on the club by docking them points. As a result, Leicester, Burnley and Leeds United are now deciding to sue Sean Dyche\u2019s side as they feel that they were relegated to the Championship as a result of the breaches.<\/p>\n<p>Each club is demanding a payment of \u00a3100million each, which will shake the Goodison Park outfit to the core given that the club are in \u00a3500m debt and their proposed takeover by 777 Partners is now at risk of collapse.<\/p>\n<p>Everton are planning to lodge an appeal against the Premier League\u2019s ruling, though one of their claims about their problems could land them in hot water with Tottenham. The Toffees have claimed that they were \u2018exploited\u2019 by Spurs during negotiations for Richarlison in 2022, feeling that their financial woes were taken advantage of.<\/p>\n<p> <strong> Don&#8217;t miss&#8230; <\/strong> <strong>Jordan sends clear message to Leeds and two other clubs trying to sue Everton[LATEST] <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/67\/590x\/secondary\/Richarlison-5075959.jpg?r=1700504245854\"><\/p>\n<p>The Brazilian forward was valued at \u00a380m by Everton but they eventually accepted a \u00a360m bid for his services, and that gap in fees is said to have been cited by the club as a reason why they failed to comply with financial rules further down the line.
