Conor McGregor’s pub in Dublin has lost almost \u00a32million since the UFC star invested in the venue three years ago.<\/p>\n
The Black Forge Inn reported losses of \u20ac432,000 (\u00a3374,000) last year, according to accounts filed by its owner Jemi Ventures.<\/p>\n
In 2021, the pub posted losses of \u00a3980,000 with business restricted because of the coronavirus pandemic. Its cumulative losses to the end of last year, meanwhile, stand at over \u00a31.73m.<\/p>\n
McGregor purchased the watering hole, which is located in Crumlin, the Dublin’s Southside suburb he grew up in, back in 2020 for over \u00a31.5m.<\/p>\n
According to the accounts, Jemi Ventures values the Black Forge Inn and its assets at a net book value of \u00a33.8m at the end of last year.<\/p>\n

The amount owed on a loan provided to the business, meanwhile, declined from \u00a34.6m to \u00a33.5m at the end of 2022.<\/p>\n
Despite the losses racked up by the Black Forge Inn, McGregor has expanded his drinks portfolio since investing in the pub.<\/p>\n
The 35-year-old founded the Proper No 12 Irish Whiskey brand and made around \u00a3110m as he sold a majority stake in the business to\u00a0Proximo Spirits\u00a0 in a deal worth \u00a3478m.<\/p>\n
The owner of Bushmills whiskey, Kraken Rum and Jose Cuervo Tequila, Proximo Spirits already held a 49 percent stake in Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And in April the Irish Independent reported McGregor purchased the Porterhouse Brewery in Dublin, where one of his companies brews his Forged Irish Stout.<\/p>\n

The brand was first brewed in 2020 and had only been available at the Black Forge Inn until this year, when it was launched in the UK.<\/p>\n
Launched in 1989, the Porterhouse Brewing Company moved into its current site at Glasnevin, Dublin 11, five years ago.<\/p>\n
McGregor has also built up an impressive property portfolio, with 200 apartments set to be built in Dublin on one of the sites he owns.<\/p>\n
The former two-division UFC champion\u00a0has not fought since his <\/span>first-round defeat by Dustin Poirier\u00a0at UFC 264 back in 2021 – when he suffered a brutal leg injury.<\/span><\/p>\n The Irishman, however, claims he will make a return to the cage in April following a three-year hiatus as he insists he is in for UFC 300.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking on The MMA Hour\u00a0this month his long-term coach John Kavanagh said: ‘We were hoping for April. That was the hope. That was what we were told. And now it seems to be the summertime.<\/p>\n ‘I don’t know [why].
