Football commentator Nigel Adderley might need to pop to Specsavers in the coming days after he mixed up pop stars Ed Sheeran and Olly Murs.

Ahead of Ipswich Town's Saturday lunchtime derby day clash against rivals Norwich City, cameras began to pan around the ground, taking in shots of the excited crowd as they all sung 'Hey Jude'.

At one point, the cameras turned to ginger pop star Ed Sheeran, who is a huge fan of the Tractor Boys, sitting in the stands at Portman Road. However, when it came to point this out, Adderley fluffed his lines, calling Sheeran "Olly Murs" – who actually supports Manchester United.

"And the singer, Olly Murs, a passionate Ipswich Town fan is here to watch his team here today," said Adderley, who was commentating on the game for international broadcasters.

Of course, to anyone who has ever seen a photo of Murs and Sheeran, the two could not look more different. While Sheeran supports a messy ginger hairstyle, Murs' has usually rocks a quiff – making the two look very much different.
