Furious Norwich City boss David Wagner called for the ‘idiots’ who attacked Delia Smith’s car before the East Anglia derby to be banned for life.<\/p>\n
Norwich City owner Smith was riding in a grey BMW and was travelling behind a police escort, which was leading the Ipswich Town bus through a sea of supporters who had gathered outside to welcome the team.<\/p>\n
Celebrations to greet the home team quickly dissipated when Ipswich’s fans noticed Smith in the back of the BMW travelling behind the coach, with a can of Carlsberg thrown onto the bonnet, as well as one fan punching the passenger window.<\/p>\n
A flare also appeared to strike the back window and she appeared shaken when entering the stadium.<\/p>\n
‘There are idiots all over the world, something I cannot understand,’ Wagner said.<\/p>\n

‘It don’t get in my head how you can behave like this when a woman over 80 years old drives to a football match, even if she may be supporting the opponent.<\/p>\n

Wagner was seen speaking to Smith in a corridor at Portman Road in the aftermath of a feisty 2-2 draw.<\/p>\n
