Injuries have limited Neymar to only 17 appearances this year for both club and country. In February, while still at PSG, he injured his ankle and was subsequently out for five months.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;It&#8217;s very important that he understands the serious injury he suffered,&#8217; Lasmar said roughly two months ago.\u00a0&#8216;He&#8217;s had other injuries and situations before, this was his third surgery. I participated in the other two, they were shorter periods.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;This time it is the most serious injury, it takes more time, so we need him to be very focused and dedicated to recovery. Brazil will later face Paraguay and Colombia in the group stage of the tournament.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mexico is in Group B with Ecuador, Venezuela and Jamaica. World Cup winner Argentina is the defending champion of the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>The latest encounter between Brazil and Mexico was in the round of sixteen of the 2018 World Cup.
