And that is that there’s always someone out there going through the same battle and connects with you even when you don’t realise it.

Reigns shocked the WWE Universe last October when he revealed he was diagnosed with leukaemia for the second time in his life 11 years after putting the cancer in remission.

The Big Dog underwent a four-month battle with the terrible illness before his miraculous comeback last February.

During his treatment the four-time world champion got to meet a lot of children who were struck by paediatric cancer and inspired him to pull through.

The kids, which he describes as his biggest heroes, taught him that “it’s the struggle that brings us all together”.

Reigns told Sports Illustrated: “I’ve been able to visit so many different paediatric children’s hospitals, build relationships with the children, and spread that message.

“They’re the superstars, they’re my biggest heroes, and it’s not just me giving to them — it’s those kids giving to me.

“The toughest tasks are for the toughest soldiers.

“Someone is going through a battle, but someone is out there connecting with you, even if you don’t realise it.

“That’s what this whole struggle has taught me, it’s the struggle that brings us all together.”

Reigns now wrestles on a full-time basis with WWE and is the top star of SmackDown.

The ex-WWE Champion’s first order of business upon his return was to reform The Shield with Dean Ambrose and Universal Champion Seth Rollins for the last time.

The Hounds of Justice defeated the daunting trio of Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley in a Six Man Tag Team Match at Fastlane and The Shield’s Final Chapter.

Reigns then went on to beat McIntyre in an exciting Singles Match at WrestleMania 35.

The former Universal Champion is now scheduled to face Elias at Money in the Bank on May 19 at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.
