WWE icon The Undertaker is coming to the UK for a spoken word tour with Scottish live events company Inside The Ropes.
The legendary wrestling star, real name Mark Calaway, is one of the most mysterious figures in the world of sports entertainment.
The 53-year-old’s macabre and supernatural character is undoubtedly the greatest gimmick in the history of professional wrestling.
Over nearly three decades, The Phenom has wowed fans and created a legend equal to any superstar to ever set foot in the ring.
He has seen and done it all, facing everyone from Hulk Hogan, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and The Rock to John Cena and Roman Reigns.
The Demon of Death Valley rarely gives interviews and seldom speaks out of character, which has added to his incredible mystique.
But that is all set to change as Inside The Ropes kingpin Kenny McIntosh has booked the Deadman for three dates next spring.
During a live podcast this evening, he revealed The Undertaker will be in London on April 30, Glasgow on May 1 and Manchester on May 2.
The shows are expected to include a meet and greet, a comprehensive interview on stage and possibly a Q&A session with the ring great.
They also fall after WrestleMania 35 – at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on April 7 – when Taker could have his last ever match.
He is set to team with his storyline brother Kane to face Triple H and Shawn Michaels at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 2.
The Phenom lost a singles bout to HHH at WWE Super Show-Down in Australia earlier this month, thanks to the interference of his old foe Michaels.
Now the Brothers of Destruction and D-Generation X will clash in a match expected to set up one more singles bout between Taker and the Heartbreak Kid.
The Undertaker famously retired Michaels at WrestleMania 26, after waging one of the all-time great Mania matches the year beforehead at WrestleMania 25.
Now fans are wondering how long he has left in the ring, especially with gym pictures revealing he is suffering from knee problems , following hip surgery.
Tickets for the three dates go on sale on October 31 at 5pm on www.insidetheropes.co.uk with more information to be released in the coming days.
Inside The Ropes is renowned for delivering the world’s greatest wrestling stars up close and personal, with events across the UK and Ireland, and in the U.S.
The company has previously hosted evenings with the likes of Sting, Goldberg, Paul Heyman, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels and Jim Cornette.
This November it will host three shows with WWE great Edge in London, Manchester and Glasgow, and in December welcomes Cody and Brandi Rhodes to Glasgow.
It produces a range of podcasts reviewing Raw and SmackDown and featuring the likes of former PowerSlam magazine editor Findlay Martin.
