KSI makes Speed cry in charity boxing match as Jake Paul taunts Brit

IShowSpeed was reduced to tears by KSI prematurely ending their charity sparring session after flooring his fellow YouTube sensation. The social media duo were raising money for the Anthony Walker Foundation by live-streaming their bout to 500,000 viewers.

The stream was purposely timed to coincide with Jake Paul’s fight against Andre August. Paul later accused KSI of “chasing views” in a cutting riposte.

KSI has fought eight times while this was one of the first occasions in which Speed had entered a boxing ring. The difference in experience showed as Speed was knocked down each time KSI landed a proper blow.

The 30-year-old KSI, who has long been tipped to fight against Paul, ended the sparring session prematurely. It had initially been scheduled for six rounds but he wished to show Speed mercy.

He said: “It takes a big man to get in the ring with me. Many have tried, many have failed and according to judges, someone was victorious.”

KSI hopped over the rope but an emotional Speed began to cry. The 18-year-old – known for his fanatical obsession with Cristiano Ronaldo – paced around the ring begging KSI to see out their six rounds.

Speed pleaded: “It’s not over yet. Get back in the ring.”

However, KSI was insistent that the fight was over after three rounds and told Speed to use the session to ‘fuel’ him to take part in the sport. “I’m proud of you, you did a huge thing. We had over 100,000 watching our spar. I want you to take this and let it fuel you,” the musician and YouTuber said.

“You know what? With your tenacity I’m going to tap out. You win.”

Paul defeated August in the first round of their fight and was later asked about KSI streaming a sparring match at the same time as his bout. The American said he was unsure if he will ever fight KSI and accused his arch-rival of “chasing views”.

He said: “I don’t know. I don’t care! It’s just two different things, right. He’s chasing views as a 30-year-old man, and I’m chasing legacy and belts. All kudos to him, I hope his wildest dreams come true.”

KSI claimed that he did not even know Paul was fighting at the same time. He told Fred Talks Fighting: “I mean, am I shocked [about Paul’s win]? No. We all know that Jake just look for super easy fights and he fought a cab driver this time.

“It is what it is. I don’t really care about him, I didn’t even know he was fighting the same time as me.”
