Jake Paul will be back in action on Friday night for the first time since August.
Instead of the usual crossover event often hosted by Paul, this time he will be fighting a professional boxer. The Problem Child will be facing little known Andre August in Florida on Friday night.
Paul seems to be in a bullish mood ahead of the fight with the 26 year-old insisting the bout isn't a big deal and that he'll make light work of August. Speaking on his podcast he said, "I'm wearing the same outfit as my last fight, I'm just showing up and knocking this guy the f*** out. We don't need to promote this s***."
August may not be a familiar name to boxing fans but the cruiserweight has a record of 10-1-1 with five of those victories coming by way of knockout and he did win the Texas Combative Sports Program Light Heavyweight title in November 2019 with a unanimous decision win over Santario Martin.
Despite August's stature as a professional in the sport, Jake Paul will be expected to win in order to cement himself as a new force in the world of boxing and enjoy a big 2024 in the ring. After losing to Tommy Fury in February of this year, Paul, who now has a record of 7-1, returned in August as he beat former MMA star Nate Diaz.
