Mya Lesnar, the daughter of the former WWE wrestling icon Brock, has shown that sporting excellence runs in the family following her latest achievement. The 21-year-old broke the shot put record at Colorado State as she carves her own path in the world of track and field.
Mya’s achievement was revealed in a post to her Instagram account. The video shows the shot-put throw in question, in which Mya can be seen screaming out with joy having thrown for a new school record of 18.50 meters.
“A new PR and a new school record!!!” she captioned the post. “Happy with a strong start to my season.”
For comparison, the current women’s shot-put world record is 22.63 meters. The mammoth throw was dealt by Natalya Lisovskaya back in 1987.

While Mya’s throw was an impressive achievement, the video itself has gone viral on social media. The clip was even picked up by famed NFL analyst Pat McAfee.
“The daughter of Brock Lesnar, one of the greatest athletes to be put on this particular Earth, just broke Colorado State’s shot-put record,” McAfee said on his own show. “Way to go Mya!
“Sources have told me that Mya is now 224 pounds of all muscle, ready to throw a rock for the United States of America when her time comes and beat the hell out of everybody else.

“I’m happy to know that Mya Lesnars exist,” he went on to add. “I’m happy to know that the United States has that, and everybody else doesn’t. Shout out to us, shout out to Mya and shout out to shot-putting.”
“Her sources have told me that her full training regime and everything is ‘we’re full time, we’re all the way in this’,” McAfee added. “Fully committed to being the best that she can possibly be.”
The video also drew a response from UFC icon Conor McGregor, who posted on social media saying: “Wow! Incredible!”
Fans and pundits were not only quick to celebrate her achievement, but also noticed how similar the 21-year-old’s looks are compared to her father.
“Brock Lesnar’s daughter looks exactly how I thought Brock Lesnar’s daughter would look lol,” one user posted, with another adding: “No DNA test needed.”
The sentiment was also echoed by another on X who claimed that she could follow in her father’s footsteps: “This is exactly how I would expect Brock Lesnar’s daughter to look. She’d be a force in the WWE.
While Mya remains focused on athletics, her father has sought a return to the WWE. Brock recently missed out on the Survivor Series and Crown Jewel last month and is not expected to return to action until the iconic Royal Rumble event in Jan.
