A far-right news host appeared to suggest that the true cause of New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ untimely season-ending injury was his penchant for using psychedelic drugs and a lack of God in his life.
While scientists and doctors have not yet proven a link between a torn Achilles tendon and the consumption of psychoactive tea and/or the lack of believing in a deity, Newsmax host Greg Kelly appears to believe this is the case.
After claiming that he predicted disaster for Rodgers, Kelly also appeared to suggest that it’s impossible to be an elite quarterback in the National Football League while also being happy.
‘He ruptured his Achilles tendon? Something like that? I totally saw this coming. I said it out loud, I can prove it to you tomorrow night. I’ll find the tape, it’s out there somewhere,’ Kelly boasted on the far-right network.
‘This was gonna be a disaster. He lost the eye of the tiger. A competitive quarterback can’t be all happy and goofy all the time.

Rodgers was sacked just four plays into his Jets career and is now out for the season
Rodgers revealed he completed surgery for his torn Achilles tendon on Wednesday
‘Something happened to this guy, and I think I know what it was – DRUGS. He got involved in psychedelics.
‘This Ayahuasca tea – something like that that gives you this “oh, I love you bro” kind of mentality. It’s uh… it’s not good.’
After airing a portion of a podcast where Rodgers explains the benefits he experienced taking Ayahuasca, Kelly went on to say that if he wanted to find self-healing and self-love he should try going to church.
‘Whatever the hell he’s talking about, Ayahuasca tea is a crummy substitute for God,’ Kelly added.
Rodgers suffered a season-ending injury after just four snaps in the Monday Night Football game between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills.
As he was being sacked by Leonard Floyd, Rodgers’ tendon ruptured, ending his first season with Gang Green.
In a post to his Instagram story, Rodgers said that he underwent a successful surgery, and sent thanks to his fans.
‘Thank you for all the love and prayers and support,’ the four-time MVP posted. ‘And thanks to the [GOAT] Dr. El Attrache and his staff for starting me on the road to a recovery.’
