Mikel Arteta previews Arsenal's clash with Man City
Manchester City stars Erling Haaland and Kyle Walker were involved in a post-match bust-up with members of Arsenal’s backroom team. The duo had to be led down the tunnel by security after the Sky Blues’ agonising 1-0 defeat at the Emirates Stadium.
It was not Haaland’s day in north London, where he failed to impact a crunch Premier League showdown with City’s title rivals. Walker also had reason to feel aggrieved as his opposite number, Gabriel Martinelli, came up with a dramatic 86th-minute winner.
With the Gunners notching their first Premier League win over the Sky Blues since 2015, their celebrations went on well beyond the final whistle. And as players made their way off the pitch, Haaland and Walker appeared to take issue with something said from the Arsenal bench.
To avoid the situation inflaming any further, security led both City stars straight down the tunnel and back to the dressing rooms.

Pep Guardiola was asked about what caused the disagreement during his post-match interview, but the former Barcelona manager said: “I know what happened and I don’t want to say anything.”
By his own standards, Haaland is on a disappointing individual run, scoring just once in his last five City matches. The 23-year-old racked up 52 goals in all competitions last term as Guardiola’s side romped to a memorable silverware treble.

Although Haaland has already put eight goals on the board this season, he will head into the international break lower on confidence than fans have been accustomed to since his big-money move from Borussia Dortmund in 2022.
And as a collective, City head into the two-week hiatus lower in the table than fans may have expected after their impressive start. Guardiola and co began the new campaign with six consecutive Premier League wins, but Sunday’s result means they have now lost two on the trot.
That leaves them in third, with Tottenham and Arsenal both forging ahead as the only two undefeated sides remaining in the division.
The Sky Blues face a tough task up next, with Brighton set to visit the Etihad Stadium on October 21. Roberto De Zerbi’s Seagulls are capable of giving anyone a game, having beaten Newcastle and Manchester United already this season.
