Jadon Sancho has reportedly been axed from a Manchester United WhatsApp group as his relationship with Erik ten Hag hits new depths.
Sancho has been banished from the United’s first-team since he was left out of the squad for the 3-1 defeat at Arsenal for showing a poor attitude in training, according to Ten Hag. Sancho then hit back at the criticism on social media, implying that his manager wasn’t telling the truth.
That led to their relationship deteriorating even further and, with Sancho refusing to apologise to his boss, the former Borussia Dortmund star was barred from using first-team facilities, including the canteen. As a result, he is even said to have resorted to eating from a lunchbox in his car.

Now it has emerged that Sancho has been kicked out of a key WhatsApp group which Ten Hag uses to share important information with players, according to The Sun. The Ten Hag/Sancho spat is said to have split the camp, with some believing he has been unfairly treated while others reckon he should back down and apologise in a bid to save his Old Trafford career.
That now looks highly unlikely, with the 23-year-old set to move on either in January or next summer. Ten Hag has steadfastly refused to discuss Sancho in recent weeks, focusing only on players who are “available for selection”.

The Dutchman outlined his position in September, saying: “He is not available, so in this moment, he is not important, because he can’t contribute.”
Ten Hag added: “It’s in favour of the team. That is what my decision is based on. That is not about me, and to be strict. No. This is in favour of the team. I don’t think about that [Sancho’s tweet] and I don’t talk about that.
“The players who are there and available deserve me. I have to guide them, I have to prepare them, it is about that. I only focus on the players who are available.”
