Juventus are working on a new long-term contract for French midfielder Adrien Rabiot after convincing him to stay in Turin during the summer.
Manchester United attempted to bring Rabiot to the Premier League during the transfer window but were turned away by the midfielder who decided to extend his time at Juventus.
The 28-year-old agreed a one-year deal with the Serie A giants and is now expected to sign-off on a fresh deal with Juventus in a complete U-turn after previously signalling his interest in leaving the club, as reported by Tuttosport.
A contract negotiating meeting between Juventus’ board of directors and Rabiot’s representative and mother, Veronique, are planned for November.
United chief John Murtough previously flew out to Turin to meet her in a bid to lure Rabiot to Old Trafford that ultimately proved unsuccessful.

The player’s mother acts as his agent and holds the key to any new contract who has won titles with Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
Juventus are aiming to tie Rabiot down to a three-year contract that would run until 2027 in a bid to reward the French international who has endured a strong start to the new season.
The club are eager to agree a new deal with Rabiot before January due to the player then being able to reach a pre-contractual agreement with overseas teams.
Man United could revive their interest while Atletico Madrid previously held interest in the box-to-box creative talent.
Max Allegri’s relationship with Rabiot is believed to be a crucial factor in the negotiations after helping mould the midfielder into a mainstay in the Juventus set-up.
Rabiot has scored one goal and registered two assists in six matches for Juventus so far this season with the club sitting fourth in the Serie A standings.
