It was one of those evenings for Harry Kane. The Englishman has been outstanding since moving to Germany this summer but he wasn’t able to get on the scoresheet on Tuesday night as Bayern Munich survived an early scare to beat FC Copenhagen 2-1 in their second Champions League game of the season.
Following a nip-and-tuck affair with Manchester United in their opening Group A fixture, the Bavarian giants had to dig deep once again to see off their gutsy Danish opposition.
The first half produced little excitement with neither side managing to break the deadlock, however, ten minutes into the second stanza FC Copenhagen took the lead courtesy of a tidy brace from midfielder Lukas Lerager.
Bayern would respond quickly with Jamal Musiala wriggling free of his man to fire the ball into the back of the net from the edge of the box 12 minutes later.

Mathys Tel grabbed a late winner to secure a 2-1 win for Bayern Munich over FC Copenhagen
The Bundesliga champions then poured on the pressure as they chased a winner.
Mathys Tel grabbed the all-important goal when he latched onto a pass from assist king Thomas Muller in the 83rd minute to finish from close range.
The goal came as a great relief for Bayern, who were unable to unlock their star striker all night after he was marked out of the game by Copenhagen.
It comes as no surprise that Kane was targeted. The 29-year-old has been on fire for Bayern since completing his £100m move in August.
Kane has bagged nine goals in as many games in all competitions so far this season plus eight in six in the Bundesliga.
Under Thomas Tuchel, Kane has been shifted into a poacher role where he can focus purely on scoring roles rather than dropping deep and helping out like he did at Tottenham Hotspur.
The switch has worked to perfection with Kane putting up some of the best numbers he has ever produced.
Last season, he recorded a career-high 48.46 per cent shot success ratio (shots on target) but is already en route to besting that with 52.17 per cent for Bayern.
Meanwhile, his duel success ratio (46 per cent) and goal conversion rate (34.78 per cent) are also the best they have ever been.
