Scotland were left ruing a controversial decision to rule out Scott McTominay’s free-kick as Steve Clarke’s side suffered a 2-0 defeat to Spain in Seville.

McTominay thought he had given Scotland the lead in the Euro 2024 qualifier in a match where a draw would have been enough to seal their place in the tournament.

David Beckham claims there has been 'no discussion at the moment' about him making a sensational return to Man United as an ambassador if Qatar's Sheikh Jassim completes £5bn takeover

David Beckham has poured cold water on the idea he could become an ambassador for Manchester United if the Glazer family sell to Qatar’s Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani.

Beckham previously struck a deal to partner with Qatar for the FIFA World Cup last year as he took on a tournament ambassador role, despite plenty of criticism.

But despite Qatar’s ongoing attempt to purchase his former club, Beckham claims there has been ‘no discussion’ of him holding any role should their takeover bid be successful.
