Manchester United could clear the way for their Premier League rivals to sign ex-Chelsea winger Samuel Iling-Junior from Juventus by selling wantaway forward Jadon Sancho to the Italian giants in January.
Several top-flight English clubs are said to be interested in acquiring the 20-year-old’s services but Juve would surely want to find a replacement for the England under-21 international before they consider any offers for him. According to CaughtOffside, the Serie A side are keen admirers of Sancho, who is set to be transfer-listed by United in the New Year.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is planning to sell Sancho as part of an attacking firesale at Old Trafford in the winter transfer window providing his bid for a 25 per cent stake in Man Utd gets the green light from the board. Sancho was recently exiled from the first team after refusing to apologise to manager Erik ten Hag following a public spat over his training performances.
It is understood that there is no route back into the senior squad for Sancho having burnt all his bridges with the Dutchman. The 23-year-old is desperate to cut ties with the Red Devils and Ratcliffe is more than willing to facilitate a move away.
If Juventus can secure Sancho’s signature then Iling-Junior could be allowed to return to his homeland. CaughtOffside’s report states that no formal approaches have been made for the Islington-born youngster but that several top English clubs are monitoring his progress.
The Independent names one of those teams as Tottenham. Ange Postecoglou is facing an injury crisis within his squad and is in desperate need of reinforcements as soon as the next transfer window opens.

Iling-Junior is reportedly viewed as an excellent addition to their depleted squad. The Englishman joined Juventus from Chelsea in 2020 and featured prominently for their under-23s before breaking into the first-team last season.
During the 2022/2023 campaign, Iling-Junior made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Turin club, showing maturity beyond his years down Juventus’ left-hand side. There is no reported asking price for the player but transfermarkt.com value him at £7.8million.
