Man Utd players' feelings towards Jadon Sancho after latest Erik ten Hag spat
Manchester United star Jadon Sancho reportedly may not be able to find a way back into the first-team picture at Old Trafford even if he apologises in showdown talks with boss Erik ten Hag after their public spat. The Dutchman left Sancho out of the Red Devils’ squad for their 3-1 defeat away to Arsenal before the international break for what he described as poor performances in training – something the winger quickly disputed on social media.
After being quizzed over why Sancho was not named in the travelling party at the Emirates, Ten Hag explained: “Jadon, on his performances in training we did not select him. You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United and we can make choices in the front line. So for this game he was not selected.”
Sancho was not pleased with his boss’ comments on live TV, swiftly taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) to give his side of the story. He wrote: “Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is (sic) completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.
“I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, l’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair! All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.
JUST IN Erik ten Hag’s stance on Jadon Sancho Man Utd future as manager still ‘dismayed'[LATEST]
“I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and (am) grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge. I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!”
Neither side have since commented as tensions continue to build, while The Telegraph have claimed that Sancho and Ten Hag are set to hold face-to-face talks on Monday for the first time since the incident – but even if Sancho apologises he may not be welcomed back into the fold.

Whether Sancho is willing to apologise remains to be seen, as his post calling out Ten Hag for those comments is still pinned to the top of his profile on social media.
Ten Hag is said to be unimpressed with how the 23-year-old has handled the situation, considering the efforts that he went through to protect the star who has failed to shine following his big-money move from Borussia Dortmund when he spent time away from the club last season.
The boss has had no issue being a stern disciplinarian during his time in Manchester, having axed Cristiano Ronaldo following their dispute while the club also reportedly reneged on David De Gea’s contract offer before he left on a free transfer at the beginning of the summer.
