Man Utd provide update on ‘dressing room bust-up’ ahead of Bayern Munich clash

Assessing Man Utd's start to the Premier League season | Football Digest

Manchester United have denied reports of a four-player dressing room bust-up after Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion. Erik ten Hag’s squad allegedly fell into disarray behind the scenes at Old Trafford in reaction to a third defeat in five Premier League games this season.

On Monday night, The Sun claimed that Ten Hag had to restore order among his ranks after a bust-up broke out in the home dressing room.

United captain Bruno Fernandes was alleged to have blasted Scott McTominay’s ineffective performance against Roberto De Zerbi’s high-flying Seagulls.

And out-of-sync centre-back partnership Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez were also laying into each other’s leaky performances.

But United have set the record straight on the eve of Wednesday’s daunting Champions League curtain-raiser against Bayern Munich.

According to the Mail, the club have denied reports of unrest in Ten Hag’s dressing room after the weekend’s defeat.

The Dutchman’s focus will be firmly on kick-starting his first Champions League campaign as United boss with a surprise win at the Allianz Arena.
