Manchester United fans were almost thanking the referee for seemingly ending the first-half of their Champions League clash against Copenhagen early.
Erik ten Hag's side have endured a miserable return to the most glamorous club competition in the world. They have already been defeated by Bayern Munich and Galatasaray in their opening matches.
They came into their home clash against the Danish giants bottom of Group A and in desperate need of a victory. However, their opening half disappointed fans so much, some of them were almost grateful when the game appeared to be blown around 15 seconds early.

By the stop clock of TNT Sport, referee Marco Guida ended the first half 15 seconds early. In a football season which has almost seen 15 minutes of injury time be added on, this seemingly premature ending left fans baffled – but not angry.
"Even the referee can’t be arsed watching another minute of that," one fan laughed on social media, referring to their flat start to the contest. "Errrm… what is that referee playing at," asked a more angry member of the Red Devils' brigade.

A more amused supporter than said, "even he’s had enough of that first half," before a fourth said the official may have been, "sick of watching that sideway nonsense." A fifth then said, Guida, "did us a favour to be honest."
While points have been hard to come by for the Reds in the Champions League, goals have not been in short supply. They scored three goals against Bayern Munich and two to Galatasaray, only to concede sloppy goals at their own end.
Bayern's victory over the Turkish giants meant a victory against Copenhagen would see United move within one point of second place. However, some staunch defending from the Danes, coupled with a United side missing their zip meant it was a frustrating opening 45 of the game.
While still missing key names, they still deployed a strong team featuring a returning Raphael Varane and summer signings Sofyan Amrabat and Rasmus Hojlund.
