Manchester United will turn their focus back to the transfer market after Saturday’s dramatic comeback win over Nottingham Forest. Erik ten Hag is still hoping to complete business in and out of Old Trafford before Friday’s deadline.
United came back from two goals down to beat Forest 3-2. Ten Hag started the match without a recognised left-back due to the injury suffered by Luke Shaw.
The Red Devils will attempt to bring in reinforcement on the left of defence, with a couple of Premier League stars eyed. United are also closing in on the signing of a back-up goalkeeper and a deal could be announced imminently.
There is still the possibility of late exits, with Donny van de Beek and Eric Bailly among those out of Ten Hag’s plans. Departures may see United finally push through with a move for a midfielder, with Sofyan Amrabat the top target.
