Manchester United staff reportedly have serious concerns over the team’s ability to finish in the top four this season.
United’s humbling 3-0 defeat to local rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday made it five losses in their opening 10 Premier League games.
Erik ten Hag’s struggling side now sit eighth in the table, already eight points adrift of fourth-placed Liverpool.
And a source has told ESPN that there are real fears inside the club they they will miss out on qualification for Europe’s premier competition.
United have suffered this fate four times in the last 10 seasons and they will need to turn things around quickly if they are to avoid it once again.
