Marcelo Flores is set to leave Arsenal and join Mexican side Tigres on a four-year deal, according to reports.
The hotly-tipped attacking midfielder, 19, has been on the Gunners’ books since 2019, and spent last season on loan at Real Oviedo in Spain.
Now his exit from the Emirates seems imminent, without playing a first-team game for Arsenal.
Fabrizio Romano revealed that an agreement was in place to allow Flores to leave Arsenal for Tigres, signing a four-year contract with the Mexican side once he completes a medical check.
The move will allow Marcelo to move closer to his sister Silvana Flores, 21, who is a midfielder for Liga MX Femenil club Monterrey, the city’s rival team to Flores.

Marcelo’s other sister Tatiana Flores, 17, is currently on the books at Chelsea.
Marcelo Flores represents Mexico on the international stage, having made three appearances for the country, opting to play for them instead of his birth country of Canada, or England, which he was eligible for due to his mother’s descent.
Arsenal were the first team to give Flores a professional contract at the age of 17, handing the midfielder a five-year deal after a campaign with the Gunners’ youth team.
His attacking skills have seen him compared to Arsenal heroes Mesut Ozil and Bukayo Saka, but it seems that his next step will see him move away from North London in favour of Mexico.
Arsenal fans took to X (fka Twitter) to bemoan the loss of ‘another baller’, with others claiming that the club would come to regret losing his talent at an early age.
