Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood has scored his first goal since joining Getafe on loan.
In the 33rd minute of Getafe's La Liga clash with Celta Vigo, Greenwood fired home from close range to give his loan side a 2-1 lead. Getafe had taken the lead on two minutes through striker Borja Mayoral, only to be pegged back just over 20 minutes later by French winger Jonathan Bamba.
However, just nine minutes after Bamba's equaliser for Rafa Benitez's Celta Vigo, Greenwood struck. Dribbling into the box down the left hand side, Mayoral ran towards the byline, cutting the ball straight back into the path of Greenwood.

The one-time England international still had plenty of work to do, but managed to blast home a near post strike to give Getafe the lead. However, that lead lasted just 10 minutes, with Celta Vigo then equalising again through Jorgen Strand Larsen.
And it looks to be a difficult challenge for Greenwood and co to come away from the Estadio de Balaidos with all three points after they were reduced to 10 men just before the 22-year-old scored. At half-time, the score sits at 2-2.

Greenwood's goal against Celta Vigo was also his first in 625 days. Of course, the initial plan for the 2023/24 season from Manchester United was to have Greenwood return to their first team squad, months after the charges of attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault were dropped earlier this year.
Back in January 2022, Greenwood was arrested by police just days after he started for Man United in a 1-0 win over West Ham United at Old Trafford.
